Approximately 26 hours flying time either eastbound or westbound. There is the option to stop over en route in Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Los Angeles or New York depending upon which airline is used. AUSTRALIA

You should include Sydney to climb the Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, Botanical Gardens and the famous Opera House. Try Brisbane that is semi tropical with the Gold Coast and Glass Mountains nearby and whale watch from the  Moreton Bay Islands that are also known for turtles, dolphins and manta rays. Flying into Cairns go to the Kuranda Terminal and take the Skyrail experience for 7.5 kms through the canopy of a tropical rainforest, then on to Port Douglas and day trips to The Great Barrier Reef with equipment and instruction supplied. Take a helicopter flight over the Whitsunday Islands. There is also the option to take a conducted boat trip up river looking for crocodiles.
The Ghan train runs from Adelaide to Darwin twice a week taking two nights and three days to cover 2,979 kms, you can visit Alice Springs en route.  The capital Canberra as well as Perth, Tasmania, Melbourne and The Blue Mountains also beckon and don’t miss wine tasting in the Barossa Valley.

New Zealand  

Fly in to Auckland for the North Island and Christchurch for the South Island. Visit the Bay of Islands and sail through the Hole in the Rock. Big game fishing and barbecues can be arranged.  Go to Dargaville and stop at Trounson Kauri Park to view the Kauri trees that are over 2000 years old. Visit the Coromandel Peninsular,  Rotorua hot springs, boiling mud, Pohutu geyser and the caves of Waitomo. Take a typical Maori Cultural Evening. The South Island offers Christchurch with its gondola and grand harbour. Tours to  Mount Cook, Dunedin and Queenstown are a must and with 4X4 tours, helicopters, trains and cruise options there are hosts of opportunities to explore the natural beauty of some World Heritage areas.
